Welcome to Maitland Community Preschool

Maitland Community Preschool, formerly known as Maitland Nursery School, has been a pillar of early childhood education in the Maitland community since 1948. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are deeply committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality educational experience for children, fostering a love for learning from an early age.

Our dedicated educators work closely with families to create an environment where children can grow, explore, and develop the skills necessary for success in school and beyond. Through a play-based learning approach, we emphasise creativity, social development, and emotional well-being, helping children build confidence and a strong sense of self.

We are also honoured to acknowledge the Wonnarua people as the traditional custodians of the land upon which our preschool stands. We offer our deepest respect to the Wonnarua peoples—past, present, and future—and recognise their continuing connection to this land, its waters, and its culture. At Maitland Community Preschool, we strive to foster an inclusive and respectful environment where all cultures are celebrated and honoured.
